Here's What Leo Season Has In Store, Based On Your Zodiac Sign

Leo season (and Virgo season, which follows directly afterward) is my personal favorite time of year. I love the late-summer vibes that signify the peak of hot weather and the first harvests of autumn just around the corner. Leo season is a time to soak up the sun, the spotlight, and all the good vibes... so what will Leo season 2022 look like for you? Here's our guide to the coming month, and as always, remember to read your rising sign first!

Aries

Aries, the Sun moving through Leo each year signifies a time when creative expression, having fun, and trying new hobbies comes naturally to you. This year, make it a goal to appreciate the fruits of your creation, whatever they may be. Around the 28th of July, the New Moon in Leo may encourage you to begin a new creative project, start seeing a new lover, or, if it's front-of-mind, trying to conceive. It's a good time to plant these kinds of creative seeds and see what they will bloom into. You'll get an extra boost of sweetness on all these matters from Venus as the month progresses.

Around the 4th of August, be mindful of a slight uptick in anxiety and restlessness. The next few weeks would be the perfect time to take a social media detox. Your day-to-day work tasks will probably require a lot of your attention, and you may find your brain buzzing. Be sure to disconnect at the end of the day so you can recharge appropriately.

On August 11th, celebrate the Full Moon in Aquarius with friends and your broader social network. You'll get extra energy to pursue necessary tasks around your neighborhood after Mars moves into Gemini on the 20th.

Taurus

The next few weeks are a good time for you to turn inward and observe what's going on with your emotions — and to consider how your conditioned emotional patterns may impact things like creativity and your career. The New Moon in Leo on the 28th of July is a good time to stay home and set intentions, and to reflect on your roots and how they impact you today. Journaling can be a good way to tune in, but you don't feel ready, utilize this energy by simply enjoying the comforts of home — there's no shame in taking a break from reflecting on your emotions when they get to be too overwhelming.

After August 4th, you may be more inclined to speak your truth and express yourself creatively. You'll also get some much-appreciated peace and contentment at home, which may be a relief if the earlier part of Leo season was a little rough.

By the time we reach the Full Moon in Aquarius on the 11th, you'll probably feel more prepared to take all that inner unpacking and use it to motivate you personally and professionally. The Full Moon will shine its light on how you can take all you've learned, and use it to become the best version of yourself.

Gemini

You're no stranger to good times, Gemini, and this Leo season is likely to bring about more of what you love. Your focus this month will be on your surroundings: Focus on getting involved in your community, getting to know your casual acquaintances more deeply, and perhaps even catching up with a sibling you haven't talked to in a while.

After the 4th of August, your communication style may become a little more subdued than normal, but it's only because you've got a lot on your mind. Organize yourself emotionally so you can be clear on what it is you need and want, especially in your home and personal life.

On August 11th's Full Moon in Aquarius, focus on learning, growth, and expansion. Your ability to absorb big new ideas now will become especially useful after the 20th, when you get a serious energy boost around your own identity and how you present yourself to the world. As long as you've laid the groundwork by being open-minded and staying humble, you should be able to finish out Leo season on a strong note.

As summer winds down, now is a good time to reflect on your values. Are you getting what you need out of life, both materially and in terms of your vision and purpose? If not, the New Moon in Leo on the 28th is a good time to put pen to paper and set some goals for how to make things right.

After the 4th, take what you've learned about yourself and begin to apply it out in the real world. Start small: The best way to build new habits and ultimately work toward living your best life is to start with your immediate circle first. Show up authentically with your friends, family, and community, and make sure your daily activities are acting in service of the values you identified. Don't worry, it won't be too difficult — you'll get a helping hand once Venus moves into this area of your life around the 11th.

The Full Moon, which also takes place on the 11th, is a good time for reflecting further on your deepest desires and inner workings. Take it easy, try a meditation or breathwork practice, and let yourself sit with your emotions. You'll want to keep practicing these mindful behaviors as you close out the season, especially after the 20th of August.

Leo

It's your time to shine, Leo! We mean that in as literal a way as possible. Leo season brings with it all the energy and charisma for which you're already known, and you'll have it in droves this month.
After August 4th, you might find yourself decluttering and organizing your finances, your possessions, or your values. It's a good time to Marie Kondo your life, so to speak. The benefit of all this hard work is that once Venus enters Leo on the 11th, you'll really be in a good place to do your best at whatever you put your mind to. Put some extra effort into your outfits, skincare, or persona if you feel like it — it's likely you'll get good results.

Around the time of the Full Moon on August 11th, the spotlight will shift away from you and onto your significant other(s). Notice how this makes you feel, and take inventory of whether or not you're doing your best at supporting important people in your life. As Mars moves into your 11th house of friendships and social networking on the 20th, you'll find yourself both challenged and invigorated to make new connections.

Virgo

Virgo, as the season starts off, your focus should be on your mental health — not on other people — and on making sure you remain as non-reactive as you can, even if things start to get emotional. The New Moon in Leo on the 28th may bring some worry and anxiety, or alternatively, dissociation and detachment. Whichever of these defense mechanisms you find yourself experiencing, do your best to sit with your emotions and observe your mind. Sometimes the best route you can take is to just breathe and let things be.

After the 4th, things might start feeling a little more comfortable for you. You'll likely be filled with ideas and thoughts that you want to communicate to the world, and you'll probably have no trouble communicating these thoughts to others.

The Full Moon in Aquarius on the 11th may shed light on a work opportunity or task that you get the chance to master. It's a great time to be productive and stay busy, especially because you'll get an energetically supercharged helping hand in career matters from Mars after the 20th.

Libra

This month is all about socializing (no complaints there, right?), with the Sun, the New Moon, and eventually benevolent Venus all transiting your 11th house of friendships and social networks. If you've been meaning to throw a party, set up a blind date between two pals, or start a Meetup group, the New Moon in Leo on the 28th of July is a great time to do it.

Just be careful you don't totally overdo it and burn yourself out socially. After the 4th, you may be prone to anxiety and nervous system overload. Cultivate calm by finishing out each day with a cup of tea or a warm bath — and some much-needed solo time.

The Full Moon on August 11th is a great time to focus on YOU, allowing yourself to indulge in creative endeavors, fun hobbies, and sensual pleasures. Relax and enjoy!

Scorpio

You might be a busy little bee this summer, Scorpio, especially during Leo season. The Sun is hanging out in your 10th house of career and public image, so it's a great time to focus your efforts on self-promotion (like social media), career growth, and new opportunities.
Just be careful — with all this activity in your professional life, you might be at risk of burnout. A great source of regenerating energy will be your friendships. Lean into your connections for a sympathetic ear, an invigorating night out, or even a helping hand. Around the 4th of August will be a particularly good time to learn the art of delegation — tap your network for support when you need it.

The Full Moon in Aquarius on August 11th will be a great time to stay home and relax. Get some much-needed self-care time in — you've more than earned it!

Sagittarius

You're a lover of all things related to travel, ideas, and perspectives — get ready for a Leo season that more than measures up to your big dreams. Whether you're traveling physically or not, you're definitely going to go on some kind of journey, and considering the Sun is in Leo, it's bound to be a bold, exciting, and interesting one. If you don't have any immediate travel plans, the New Moon on the 28th is the perfect time to make plans or buy tickets.

Your ideas might bubble over into the workplace or your social media feed after the 4th, and you don't see anything wrong with this — expressing yourself generally comes naturally to you, provided you've spent enough time organizing your thoughts. Make the case to your boss for a workplace logistical change, or fine-tune your social media messaging.

Around the time of the Full Moon on the 11th, it'll be a good time to share your voice with your community and help spotlight any issues you might be noticing.

Capricorn

While everyone else is out there hot girl summering, you might be feeling a bit more introverted right now, Capricorn. There's nothing wrong with that — now is a great time to focus on your deeper emotions, and potentially those of others as well. The Sun is shedding light on your innermost secrets as well as your sex life, so embrace this time of delving deep and getting to know yourself. Things will get especially good, sensually speaking, after Venus enters Leo on the 11th.

As you get closer to the middle of August, you'll probably find yourself reflecting on your worldview. Did that sensual connection and deep emotional digging cause you to reexamine how you see the world? It's definitely possible.

Around the Full Moon in Aquarius, you'll take these themes forward into an examination of your personal values as well as your physical possessions. Check in with yourself to make sure your outer life is aligned with your inner one. This will be especially important after Mars moves into Gemini on the 20th, lest you forget to to take care of yourself amidst the business of everyday life — this is not a good time to procrastinate on self-care.

Aquarius

You're fiercely independent, but this Leo season has you focusing on your connections with others. The New Moon on the 28th in particular has you contemplating your closest relationships, and as the month of August progresses, you're likely to feel all warm and cuddly inside, especially when you're around your SO or your bestie.

If you have a partner, take this opportunity to cultivate even more intimacy. Open the channels of communication in the bedroom, especially around August 4th and beyond. This is a great season for your love life (whether platonic or romantic), and a great opportunity to truly share yourself with the ones you love.

The truth is, giving of ourselves to others needn't force us to abandon ourselves. The Full Moon on the 11th will have you reflecting on your own needs and identity, which is perfectly healthy and, indeed, supportive to your closest relationships. You can't pour from an empty cup, after all.

Pisces

Be careful not to overwork or overstimulate yourself this Leo season, Pisces. The focus this month will be on your work life, daily tasks, routines, and physical wellness, all of which are important for cultivating a balanced and well-defined sense of self. Boundaries aren't your strong suit, but you are likely to be so absorbed in the business of daily life that focusing on relationships might actually be a challenge.

After the 4th, you'll have more incentive to speak up in your intimate relationships and make your needs known. Maybe it's a good time to gently tell your SO, business partner, or best friend that you need a little space for all the hectic goings-on of your life right now, and that they shouldn't take it personally.

The main thing to emphasize is the need for self-care. With so much going on, the lack of downtime might get to you, and could mean repercussions for your physical and mental health if you don't pay attention. If you haven't been taking time to unwind, it's going to catch up to you by the time of the Full Moon in Aquarius on the 11th, and could cause discord at home after the 20th. Avoid any potential problems by taking deep breaths, making time to relax, and prioritizing what needs to get done (rather than the expectations of others).
