Starbucks for Life Is Back!
The Drinks From The *Official* Starbucks Winter Menu
NEW! Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai
This new drink is an absolute fave. It uses chai instead of espresso, so it retains a super flavorful (yet spicy) edge without getting too acidic. When anything's infused with the taste of gingerbread, it's gonna be good.
Caramel Brulée Latte
The Starbucks Caramel Brulée Latte has returned for 2023! This bev features a mix of the chain's signature espresso and steamed milk that melds gloriously together with a sweet Caramel Brulée sauce. It gets topped off with rich whipped cream and – our favorite part – little brulée bits that bring forth a satisfying crunch.
Peppermint Mocha
Ahhh – the Peppermint Mocha. It's an undeniable classic! The dosage of mocha and peppermint syrup, combined with perfectly steamed milk, whipped cream, and chocolate curls, is *just* what the winter season calls for. You're gonna want to have this exact cup in-hand when it's time to go admire the neighborhood's Christmas lights.
Love the Peppermint Mocha? Here's how to make your own at home.
Chestnut Praline Latte
If you tend to like nutty flavors with your coffee, the Chestnut Praline Latte is the one for you. Like the drink's name insinuates, flavors of chestnut and praline blend together amongst hot (or cold!) milk, then get finished off with a swirl of whipped cream and some spiced praline crumbs for texture.
We highly recommend trying this Starbucks winter menu item with almond milk for even more nuttiness!
Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte
This latte does *not* miss. The Sugar Cookie syrup that forms its base is devilishly sweet, making it the perfect accompaniment for the winter season. Unlike the other drinks on the Starbucks winter menu, this bev gets shots of Starbucks' Blonde espresso that make each sip all the more sweet. The best part for us? The red and green sprinkle topping that wonderfully welcomes the holidays.
NEW! Oleato Gingerbread Oatmilk Latte
Select Starbucks cafés in the U.S. that serve Oleato beverages (they're infused with olive oil!) are pouring out the all-new Oleato Gingerbread Oatmilk Latte. Much like the new Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai, this Starbucks hot drink will carry notes of the popular seasonal treat, with a silky-smooth texture from the olive oil.
Starbucks Winter Menu Food Items
Cranberry Bliss Bar
So, what else is on the Starbucks winter menu? We're happy to report that some familiar bakery have come back. First up: the Cranberry Bliss Bar. Essentially, it's a triangular blondie that has dried cranberries baked into it. On top it features a thick layer of cream cheese frosting, orange zest, and more berries.
Gingerbread Loaf
This treat has it all – cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger – basically every ingredient that holiday baking projects call for. It's insanely soft, too, which makes it perfect for dipping in all of the Starbucks winter menu drinks!
Peppermint Brownie Cake Pop
This snack is like the Peppermint Mocha in food form. Inside, a minty chocolate cake pop. Outside, a delightfully crunchy white chocolate layer fused with candy cane pieces.
Snowman Cookie
The Starbucks Snowman Cookie is a dense, buttery shortbread cookie that gets doctored up with white icing and jolly snowman decorations. It's so cute, you may not even want to take a bite! But trust us – once you do, it'll be gone in a blink.
Sugar Plum Cheese Danish
With this food item, a flaky danish crust gets filled with sweet cream cheese and some sugar-plum spread for an extra seasonal feel.
In Addition To The Winter Menu, Starbucks Holiday Cups Are Back
Our go-to coffee joint will also debut four brand-new cup designs in honor of the season. You can find the annual designs like these (including classic Starbucks holiday cups) in stores now!

New Sips + Snacks From The Starbucks Winter Menu At Starbucks Reserve
The Starbucks Reserve Roasteries in New York, Chicago or Seattle are also serving up some seasonal goodness this year – but with a fancy twist! A trio of new drinks join the elevated lineup: the Peppermint Mocha Espresso Martini, the Starbucks Reserve Peppermint Mocha, and the Starbucks Oleato Whiskey Barrel-Aged Cold Brew. Yum!
Some unique baked goods are also on the Starbucks Reserve Roasteries menus, like the Princi Chocolate Hazelnut Swirl Cake, the Pistachio Maritozzo, the Apple Crumb Pie, and the Cranberry Cheese Danish. If you're in New York, Chicago or Seattle, consider yourself lucky.
The Starbucks Winter Menu Began With Online Rumors
It wouldn’t be a menu leak without the help of our treasured pal, @markie_devo. The 98K-follower foodie account first posted the rumored Starbucks winter menu on September 20, 2023, sparking mass amounts of excitement.
The rumors rightfully predicted the returning drinks for the season, which are: the Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte (the tasty one with the sprinkles!), the Caramel Brûlée Latte, the nutty Chestnut Praline Latte, and of course, Peppermint Mocha.
They also leaked the *brand new* sip that joined the winter menu mix, too: the Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai, available to order iced or hot.
We're super stoked about these rumors because they introduce some possible new cold foams! The Starbucks winter menu will reportedly include Holiday Cold Foams like Peppermint Chocolate, Sugar Cookie, Caramel Brûlée, and Chestnut Praline. It could be so fun to mix and match these cold foams with the holiday drinks.
Holiday news aside, die-hard Starbucks fans are simply elated to hear the rumors about Gingerbread.
“OH MY GOD THE WAR ON GINGERBREAD IS OVER 😭😭😭😭😭🙌🙌🙌🙌,” one user commented. “Not me almost crashing my car upon reading this 😂,” another wrote. Same TBH.
The Gingerbread Latte was a longtime winter menu favorite until it was seen and never returned back in 2020. Though the Gingerbread Latte is secretly listed on Starbucks’ website, it really hasn’t made a public appearance… until now. We don't quite know if the Gingerbread syrup is fully back yet, though.
Is the Starbucks Peppermint Mocha back in 2023?
Yes, the Starbucks Peppermint Mocha is back in 2023. It’s one of our returning favorites to the winter menu!
When does the Starbucks Eggnog Latte come out in 2023?
Sadly, the Starbucks Eggnog Latte won’t come out at all this year. The latte made with creamy eggnog and nutmeg was discontinued in 2021 and hasn’t been seen since. Good news is, you can make it at home – super easily.
How many calories are in a Starbucks Snowman Cake Pop?
According to Starbucks, a single Snowman Cake Pop contains 180 calories.
Is the Starbucks Red Cup Challenge still happening in 2023?
Since the red cups return every year, we predict the Starbucks red cup challenge will happen in 2023. For one day only, customers who order a beverage from the Starbucks winter menu receive a red, limited-edition reusable cup to save some money on future purchases.
