After rabidly consuming new episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty, Outer Banks, and Never Have I Ever, I'm craving a new TV show to finish the year off strong — especially since we've had some of the best TV shows since the early 2000s this year. Ahead of the series premiere, we sat down with Nikki Rodriguez, Noah LaLonde, and Gentry Ashby to talk about My Life With The Walter Boys, the horses they got to work with ("Each horse has a very distinct personality," Ashby says), and their most memorable bonding experience: friendsgiving.
"We got deep," Noah jokes. Ashby adds, "I will point out, Nikki brought [three different kinds of] French fries as her dish to the Thanksgiving. And they were amazing, by the way." (The fries in question were truffle fries, regular, and sweet potato fries).
"But nothing says bonding like goofing off," Ashby continues. "And no one likes to goof off when you're supposed to be working more than us. I think it's easy to become a family when you include a little bit of that."
"There's so many topics that the show covers," Nikki says. "Love, loss, grief, family, and chosen family, and I feel like those are all topics we've all experienced and can connect to. It's a very nice show and it's very heartwarming, and people are really gonna connect to it."

After the death of her family, 15-year-old, Princeton-bound Jackie Howard moves from New York City to live with her mom's best friend Katherine in Colorado. As Jackie grows closer to bookish Alex and mysterious Cole, she has to figure out how to have it all — or whether a potential romance is worth changing her plans for.
