  • Wreath base (these DIYs use wire wreaths, foam wreaths, or embroidery hoops)
  • Faux or fresh flowers
  • Burlap
  • Ribbons
  • Accessories (cutouts of bees, butterflies, or other images)
  • Wooden beads
  • Hot glue
  • Wire
  • Zip ties

Wreaths don't have to have the same materials across the whole frame. Attach your favorite faux flowers and greenery on one half and wooden beads on the other to create an asymmetrical design that will complement so many aesthetics. Lay everything out before you glue it down to make sure you like the design.

Pampas grass makes for a wonderfully textured and voluminous addition to your space. It's also neutral, which means you don't have to worry about matching it up with any particular color palette. Once you've arranged all the pieces, spray the whole thing with hairspray to prevent it from shedding.

The great thing about using faux flowers is that you can pick your favorite florals, no matter what season it is. But go with fresh or dried flora if that's what you prefer! Bursts of lavender make an otherwise neutral wreath more colorful, without being too in-your-face. If you don't want to use hot glue, flower wire is another good option that will keep your buds attached to the frame.

If you have a ton of houseplants around your home, this is the wreath for you. Find succulents in a variety of shapes and colors to make your wreath more dynamic, and after you cover your base with moss, hot glue everything down. It's that simple.

If you want to switch things up and pick a different material instead of faux flowers, go with burlap squares. You can pick some that are already yellow so you don't have to worry about paint, and when you're done folding, attach with zip ties. Don't worry about the ends of the ties sticking out — just clip them and you're good to go.

Find some faux vines that already have leaves on them to make creating your first layer a little easier. You can just arrange the vines directly on top of your frame or wrap them around. Getting your vines situated will be an important step so you have a good base before you glue your flowers on.

For minimalist spaces, get a wooden wreath for a design that looks more natural than a wire base. Then attach your chosen greenery to one side. You can paint the rest of the wood if you'd like, but you can also leave it plain so that it gives your space a natural look.

For a whole new shape and look, go with something other than the traditional circular shape. Turn an old umbrella upside down and glue faux flowers inside each pocket (we're loving how these tulips look inside). Make sure you grab an umbrella with a curved handle so you don't have to attach a hook.

When gluing individual flowers to the top of a wreath, don't worry about how far the stems stick out; when you've arranged and glued everything down the way that you like it, you can just trim all of the flowers so that they look even. If you're adding flowers overtop of a pre-made wreath, you can also trim the ends of the base to make it a size that best fits your space.

You can go two different ways when making this wreath — buy some faux moss from the store or go to your backyard and find some natural moss growing there. The good thing about getting some from your backyard is that it's free, but if you don't want to deal with dirt and bugs, faux moss might be a better option for you. Either way, we're obsessed with how this one turned out!

Bring some sunshine to your front door with a sunflower wreath. You can either arrange the blooms in a single line around the wreath or layer them to create a 3D effect. Don't worry if the rustic vibe doesn't totally fit in with your aesthetic — just nix the burlap.
